DIRECTOR AND MENTOR- Mr. Hasmukh Agrawal, after completing his MBA from India’s premier institute XLRI, Jamshedpur, has worked with Indian Multinationals ACC Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. His vast experience  in training and development field at these organizations helped him carve out a vision for the future professionals of the country. Further his entrepreneurial experience with Balaji Agro Products Pvt. Ltd. Gave him holistic understanding of personality needs to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Mr. Agrawal started FuturiSM in May, 2002 with a vision to impart futuristic training to students which transcend beyond their immediate need to perform in respective competitive examinations. He believes that the learning must have a much wider scope and global reach; which helps not only in attainment of immediate goals but even long term objectives.

He started training CAT aspirants with the first batch of just three students. Today, FuturiSM caters to career aspirations of more than 500 students annually at its only center at Surat. With the growth in numbers, what has grown most at FuturiSM is its technical competency – the content and the delivery modules. Besides the scope of the content – which is widest in the industry, FuturiSM prides itself on providing students with most relevant and updated content.

Mr. Agrawal himself takes active interest in development of tests, content and delivery modes. His in-depth understanding of various competitive examinations, offer him an incisive acumen for students’ developmental potential and for training methodology. He epitomizes excellence in training and teaches students by setting himself as an example. His scores in various CAT examinations (99.97 percentile in 2005, and 99.99 percentile in 2006) do not exactly reflect his competency. His true excellence lies in the results that he, along with his Team FuturiSM, has consistently obtained for students.

As Mr. Agrawal says,

“We don’t lose a battle, until we haven't lost our heart; we do not win a war, until we haven't won our mind”;
He has imbibed this philosophy thoroughly in his life. And moreover, this is the philosophy that has helped many students of FuturiSM achieve a great success or overcome a difficulty.

 

At FuturiSM, Mr. Agrawal has achieved grand successes for students. He has been instrumental in realization of IIM dreams of many students, sent many students to foreign universities realizing their global aspirations. FuturiSM organized a recruiting seminar, the first of its kind in Surat, by American Universities in the month of November, 2006.

History
Foundation Studies for Management, nicknamed FuturiSM by its students of CAT-2003 Batch, was founded by XLRI alumnus Hasmukh Agrawal on 18th May, 2002. Hasmukh Agrawal had done his engineering from NIT-Allahabad in 1989 and MBA in PM & IR from XLRI in 1991. Started in rented premises, with just Seven students for CAT-2002, FuturiSM has made rapid strides since. After having vast experience as a professional in Cement Conglomerate ACC Ltd. and oil giant Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and as an industrialist in food processing sector; Hasmukh Agrawal set out to do what he was best at – that is teaching. He identified coaching for CAT and other competitive examinations as his niche.

FuturiSM, under the able guidance of Hasmukh Agrawal, only went from strength to strength; providing quality coaching for all the variety of competitive examinations, and delivering phenomenal results from year to year. The commitment of faculty and staff towards betterment of students’ lot and towards students’ career made the institute grow from 7 students in calendar year 2002 to more than 500 students in calendar year 2006 – making it one of the fastest growing institutes in India. In the mean time, the institute also grew to become a multi-location institute with opening of its branch in Vadodara in year 2005, again on 18th May. 

Growth
In a short span of four years institute has grown from 7 students to more than 500 students. FuturiSM has also expanded the basket of its services from only CAT coaching to include training students for state CETs, GMAT, GRE, TOEFL & IELTS. The institute also provides personality development programs, and specialized programs aimed at on-campus and off-campus recruitment processes. FuturiSM today caters to learning needs of more than 300 students in Surat and more than 200 students in Vadodara annually.

The institute has developed most exhaustive content for various examinations through continuous research and development. The institute today also caters to study abroad aspirations of students in Gujarat region. FuturiSM has a well established association with leading consultancy services providers in New Jersey for admissions to American, Canadian, British and Australian Universities.

FuturiSM is the first and the only institute to organize students’ recruitment seminar by American and Canadian universities in Surat and Vadodara.

The professional services and holistic approach to career has made FuturiSM a preferred choice for most students in the region where FuturiSM operates. Continuous upgradation of material and training of faculty has ensured a quality input delivered to each student. Intensive and inspirational learning has become hallmark of tutoring at FuturiSM – with of course result orientation as the goal of the process. FuturiSM, till date, has placed hundreds of students in top B-Schools of country and abroad. On every performance criteria – be it calls per students, average percentile score of students, average score in various examinations, or even faculty performance in various examinations – FuturiSM has been an undisputed leader since inception.

People
“A man is known by the company he keeps.” Similarly, a company is known by people it keeps. FuturiSM has always invested heavily in key resource – i.e. human capital. Starting as one-man army, today FuturiSM is run by a battery of top professionals from technical, managerial and academic background. FuturiSM has and has had people from XLRI, Oxford University, IIM-Lucknow, NMIMS, IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Kanpur, and NIT-Surat among others.

Each individual in FuturiSM, has immensely contributed to improvement of standards of coaching, to implementation of systems to benefit students and streamline operations, and to making FuturiSM more responsive to students’ needs and aspirations. Regular faculty training and involvement of faculty in research and development of content has helped institute build intellectual capital unmatched in industry. One common trait that is observed and maintained among all individuals in Team FuturiSM is dedication to the organization and to students’ community. While qualifications and background of individuals joining FuturiSM are given due consideration, they are definitely not limiting factor.

Future
FuturiSM is synonymous with Future – future for Team FuturiSM, and future for FuturiSts (FuturiSM Students). FuturiSM is a futuristic organization with past errors and present scenario contributing to create a great future for all involved. FuturiSM eyes becoming a national player in competitive exam preparation in near future with a long term vision of being a globally competitive educational institute.

The growth of FuturiSM is ensured, and direction as envisaged by its promoters today lies in creating wider network on national scale and developing associations for admission/selection process to numerous other countries. We foresee induction of technology in our learning centers and at our corporate office, and integrating learning modules nation-wide in virtual class-rooms.
